My grandmother attended Chautaugua at Monteagle as a girl and later I attended a Syracuse summer school at Chautaugua, NY and participated in the opera, lectures, used the library and fully enjoyed a summer Chautaugua. My grandfather's sisters were there too, up from Florida for the summer. This is a good account ot one of the most successful adult education programs ever mounted in the United States.
