Pretty much everything I wanted in a Dungeons & Dragons film, even if it never manages to quite surpass the fantastic opening bit with Jarnathan.

B (Good).

It's funny, which is what I'm here for. It doesn't do particularly well with anything non-silly.

Edgin, a bard, and Holga are in prison for being thieves. They escape during their parole hearing and go to find Edgin's daughter who is with Forge, a con man. Forge has teamed up with a Red Wizard of Thay, defraud and take over Neverwinter. The team goes to the Underdark and has many misadventures.

The movie feels about like a most gaming sessions I've played in. If you've truly played the game, you should enjoy the movie.

2023 movie #87. 2023. Ed (Pine) and his merry band of misfits on a quest through a fantasy land to save his daughter (and maybe get rich). Enjoyable but the story, which involved solving one nonsensical problem after another, got a little dull.
