This book contains the picaresque autobiographical notes about Niels Mulder’s life in 1960’s in Bangkok.

One of the key questions posed in university was how far to go with “participative observation”. Mr. Mulder goes a long way in participating in the life and times of some Bangkok streetwalkers, observing an attitude that is fully based upon practicality and a “carpe diem” attitude. Does he now understand Thai culture? No, but he gets caught by it.

A superfluous book.
