Kendrick is an artist, but he is also Lord Alton. His mother wants him to marry but he is not interested in the ton's women. He needs someone different. Also Cole, his secretary and valet, loves him. Kendrick may also feel the same towards Cole. Into their lives comes Lillian who lives next door and may have seen something she should not have. Kendrick discovers that Lillian is unusual. Being around both men, she also discovers she loves both. What to do, what to do!

I enjoyed this story. I show more liked the main characters. I also liked Kendrick's mother. She is a hoot. Lillian's mother is a bit of a prude, but she gives her blessing to Lillian. Kendrick's mother is not, and she is glad to give her blessing. I liked how they work together and have fun together. This is hot!

I am looking forward to reading more of Anne Shaw.

Romance and intrigue are woven in a way that will keep you turning pages for hours. I loved Jack and Rachel, each with their own priorities, but unable to ignore the sparks that fly between them. They can both be a bit stubborn at times, but I think that just added to their characters. With two different goals, you'll be on the edge of your seat wondering what twist is coming next. A great historical romance with a bit of thrill.
Katherine is outspoken and not looking for a husband. Belmonte is not looking for a wife but is intrigued by her. When caught in a compromising position, Belmonte offers marriage. Katherine will accept if he meets her conditions. Will he?

I enjoyed this story. I liked Katerine and Belmonte. Neither is what is expected. Katherine knows Belmonte carries secrets. Katherine is more open than Belmonte expects a lady of the Ton to be, but he likes it. I like when Katherine gets Belmonte's secrets show more out of him. When Belmonte's past comes to London, Katherine deals with it and hopes Belmonte will choose her. I like that Belmonte learns he can be jealous and puts conditions on Katherine's future Christmas gifts. This is a couple made for each other.

I look forward to more in this series.

Birdie uses the alias Mrs. Worth to get a job as secretary with Tobias Moran, owner of TJ Moran Publishing House. He is attracted to her at once but is not sure about hiring her as he publishes a line of erotica for specific clients. Birdie stands up to him and shows him how she can help with his firm. He hires her. She meets his friend, Ash, who is a detective inspector with the Metropolitan Police. Birdie is afraid of him because of secrets she keeps. Ash and Moran also have secrets. Ash show more is attracted to her also. One night the snow falls deeply, keeping Ash and Moran at the publishing house where Birdie still is as she found Moran's forbidden books. Will she keep her job? What will Birdie do knowing Ash and Moran's secret? What happens when they all stay at the publishing house because of the snow?

I enjoyed this book. I liked that the book referenced here is a book from a previous book. I like Ash, Moran, and Birdie. I liked that none of them liked lies, but each has a secret that the others discover. There is anger when the secrets first come out but when danger appears that will hurt Moran and Birdie, the three do all they can to save each other. I also liked that Ash finally has the courage to choose the right career for himself.

I look forward to more of Ms. Shaw's books.
