About the Author

Noela Young was born in Australia in 1930. After graduating with the College Medal for the Highest Honours in Illustration in 1951, she became a freelance illustrator. Before she started illustrating books, she created decorative headings for The Fruit and Vegetable News, did greeting card show more illustration, and was an illustrator for The School Magazine. She illustrated over 70 books including the Muddle-Headed Wombat series by Ruth Park, Grandpa by Lilith Norman, and Something Special and Pigs Might Fly by Emily Rodda. This book was ok. It was pretty long so I think that kids would get bored of it fast. It was about kids who lived in the city and they had no where to play, then the mayor decided to build them a park
