She becomes involved in the mystery of the “lost woods” when a neighbor calls and asks for her help - someone has clear-cut her woods while she was out of town for a couple of days.
Not a mystery where you follow the clues, more character driven and situation humor.

Instead, her friends from the Highlands begin turning up to stay at the beach to protect her. They turn it into a nerve-racking life with plenty of new characters for Samantha to write into her next book.

Another fun read with the mystery unfolding as Samantha writes her book. The characters Martha, Betty, and Hazel are seniors with great verve for life and are simply fun in their antics. The cast of new show more characters is diverse and I enjoyed how they all keep coming in and out of Samantha's daily life. show less

Fun read, colorful characters.

An unbelievably fun story full of suspense and multiple mysteries. Never knew what the next twist would bring. Thoroughly enjoyed it.

Samantha learns the accident that killed her husband Stephan was no accident. Someone tampered with his brakes, it was murder. In her grief, the novel she is writing becomes a record of her search for the killer.

This book provides a very different mystery.
