This book is a great activity book along with many facts about Lewis and Clark that are shorter easier to read for students. I like this book because it puts history into more short snippets and facts, rather than drawing it out to be a big textbook that might bore a student. This would be best for students in grades 2-5.
This activity book is great for learning how to build structures with designs. It gives the reader a ton of different activities for them to experiment with. As the reader looks at the activities there are also passages that explain the importance of buildings located all around the United States. For Example, one is the American Surety Building. You learn important facts about its structure and then it shows the student how to build this sort of structure.
This children's activity book takes the reader through the various stages of building a skyscraper - from making a model city, through design of the building and problem-solving, to the actual construction of the tower from foundation to finished structure.
Describes different kinds of bridges, their history, design, construction, and effects on populations, environmental dilemmas, safety, and more.
