---- 2678 Encountering Mary: From LaSalette to Medjugorje, by Sandra L. Zimdars-Swartz (read 23 Nov 1994 - re-read 1 Nov 2000) This is a very interesting 1991 book by a Kansas University professor. It is even-handed and discusses La Salette, Fatima, Medjugorge, and Gorabandal extensively, and objectively. It ends with Necedah--which was surely a fraud or delusion. I found the whole book fascinating, and it made me realize how little I knew about LaSalette and the others. ____ Encountering show more Mary: From LaSalette to Medjugorge, by Sandra L. Zindara-Swartz (read Nov. 1, 2000) This gets no number because it was (accidentally) a re-read. I only realized after I had re-read it that I read it in November of 1994. It seemed familiar but I thought it was from other reading I had done. Not till I was finished did I realize I had read it before. Its subject is of great interest, and so it was easy to read. It is even-handed although the author's view is rationalistic untempered by faith. show less
