Curiosa, dopo aver amato alla follia Hunger Games, ho deciso di leggere Anger.

E' un peccato che, il libro, con HG non c'entri assolutamente niente! Ancora una volta la casa editrice, come altre prima, ha deciso di sfruttare la fama di un altro romanzo per attirare i lettori... C'è riuscita, almeno con me.

Fortuna vuole che Anger, sia un romanzo davvero bello!
Interessante, accattivante e misterioso, si fa leggere in una giornata. Complice anche il fatto che non si tratta di un libro molto show more corposo, purtroppo, meritava sinceramente qualche pagina in più di approfondimento.

Il rapporto fra i ragazzi sull'isola è interessante, poteva essere sfruttato maggiormente per creare suspanse, per confondere il lettore e colpirlo, poi, alla fine, con la verità sconvolgente che ci è stata comunque regalata.
Nulla da eccepire sul finale: sorprende e regala il brivido promesso.

L'autrice è molto brava, scrive in maniera delicata e piacevolmente incisiva.

Good:
- the cover. Just look: its gorgeous!
- the descriptions of landscapes.
- our heroine is a foreign adoptee looking to return home. Lots of potential there, none of which was realised, sadly.

Bad:
- the insta-plot - you know this story, and this version is incredibly contrived.
- the cardboard characters. They are only defined by one single, show more easily identifiable trait and by the end I didn't care about anyone.
- the insta-love at first sight forever ("You can totally fall in love forever with someone you don't know" - only that she manages to mix up her lover with his evil twin a few chapters later - totally True Love)
- the fact that the female character only breaks her habit of being a sexy lamp to do really unbelievably stupid and foolhardy things (The entire book she's content with sitting around and watching the boys do things, only when her supposedly murderous boyfriend flees the island she feels drawn to spring into action and steal the one remaining boat to follow him and BE ALONE WITH HIM)
- the motivation of the central villain are really from the very bottom of the barrel (Evil Twin?? Her long-lost sister SPRINGING to action without knowing that it's really her? Darling's greedy money-motivation? Come ON)
- the bad foreshadowing ("Later when I remembered this moment I often wondered why we didn't....", "This was the first time I saw HIM...", etc.) show less
