The moral of the story is "do you know someone you can help in any way?" Edsel shares his ability to see with show more Little Orville and makes a big difference in his life. This book is great to read to primary level students and talk about sharing and helping one another. show less
Summary:
This is the traditional bible story about Joseph. His dad had 12 sons, but he is the favorite so the other brothers revolt. Their dad bought Joseph a very colorful coat so they got jealous. They sold Joseph as a slave in far away Egypt, but tore up the colorful coat and told their dad that he was killed by a wild animal. But eventually Joseph became a king in Egypt and came back and forgave his brothers.
Personal Reaction:
This story shows jealousy in its worst state. Hopefully show more showing that jealousy is not the key to anything.
Classroom Extension ideas:
1. Paint colorful coats
2. Have the kids make a list of all the things they have and remind them to be happy with that, and never jealous of things other people have.
