“Crazy Quilts” by Allie Aller is a great book for anyone wanting to learn how to make a crazy quilt. It is an easy-to-follow book, which has many modern techniques, and some that are as old as crazy quilting.
“Crazy Quilting” contains a section about transferring images to fabric, using the computer; using Angelina fibers (a film that can be pressed into shapes, or cut out and bonded to fabric); the tools that are helpful in making your quilts; the many methods of making the blocks; show more and the all important ideas for embellishing your quilt.
Aller has included patterns and design ideas, a gallery of completed quilts, which includes a landscape quilt, directions on how to finish the quilt, and suppliers that carry the items you might want to use in your quilts.
Crazy Quilting is a beautiful book, which will really stir the desire to make a quilt like one of the examples in the book. With image transferring, you will see the possibilities for making collectible memory quilts, which will be treasures for a long time. I now have incentive to make one of these for myself!
