THE book for information on California fishes. My first seasonal job with the California Department of Fish and Game involved identifying all Delta fish down to 25mm. Other than the taxonomic keys we used to actually ID the fish, this book was THE most useful tool I had to learn more about an incredibly wide variety of fishes.
