Thank you to Margaret Rose and LoveNotesPR for a free ARC copy of this book in exchange for my honest review.
The Plot:
Cat Bloomfield is on the brink of becoming partner at her PR firm. After an odd request asking for her personally, she must figure out if she really wants the job that badly.
Winter Larson is a Danish prince and The Crown thinks it's time for a rebrand. A rebrand in the form of a new reality dating show that will end with a marriage, Royal Hearts. In need of a PA, he remembers show more a certain agent that he holds a grudge against.
My Thoughts:
I was so excited for this cozy, holiday read. I've read a few reality dating show tropes and they've all been so fun.
Immediately, I loved the small town setting. I thought the location and community was adorable and I was drawn in immediately.
Cat and Winter have that snarky spark that is sometimes hard to formulate within the enemies to lovers trope and I really liked how they were able to put aside their grudges to help each other when needed. The build up was great.
Once the romance starts is when I kind of lost it. In my opinion, it got a little to risky at times with no repercussions and everything was almost too picture perfect. I was also a little disappointed that they alluded to this holiday break for a while and when it came for the break, we basically got a time skip. I would have liked to learn more about the character dynamics without a camera during that time.
In saying that, I still thought this was a fantastic book and I would still recommend it as a cozy holiday read. show less
