My first Ben Hood mystery. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and the Australian setting was a nice change. There was just enough romance, suspense and action to keep me intrigued.

Review:

"Black Mountain Affair" by Drew Lindsay was a very exciting suspense mystery read. I found it hard to put down until I had finished with this novel. This was definitely a page turner for me. There were so many twist and turns... you really have to keep up or you could get lost. The author did a wonderful job at keeping the reader interested even though show more he may have repeated a little more than necessary in this long read.....but in the end if you could hold on and stay with it till the end....... it turns out to be a very good read. The Ausee Lingo was somewhat different in reading but I soon caught on.

"Black Mountain Affair" is of a serial killer.. in Cooktown, Australia and Far North Queensland...killing (Aboriginals) and (others) hiding the remains in the Black Mountain. There were lots of detectives involved and even a ex detective...Ben Hood... who really shined in this story. Now you will just have to read "Black Mountain Affair" and find out why the young ladies liked Mr. Hood. Also in your read you will find out who Merinda Jerome(North Australian Socialite) was and why she was a important person in this plot.

Get ready for graveyards to be robbed, police and a doctor... well I will stop and not tell you anymore about that ... you must pick up the read and find about this intriguing novel for yourself. Just who was this person... was he black or white and why was he able to stay ahead of the Police and what souvenir did the killer take from his victims?

The character's were all very interesting people and their were many...Bobby Gumtree,John & Margaret Quinn, Janice, Beth & Jordan Price, Peter Martin, Binda Specer, Dr. Ruth Cruise, Walter Lund, Mark Leslie, Oola & Koorine Burton, Maurice & Jolanta Keller, Detective Sutcliffe, Merinda, Jerome, Tony Myer, Graham Lupton, Yana Gibson, Ben Hood, Wayne Armstrong, Jiba, Rodney Reids, Les Watson, Dr Vall Dunn, David Porter and I will stop because there are some more for you to read about in this good read.

If you are in for a good detective read... you have come to the right place..."Black Mountain Affair" will be one that you will not soon forget. I found it to be a good mystery novel that I would recommend as a good read.
