Until I picked this book up in the store I had no idea that one could speak and make money from it. Now, I often present at library conferences. While the speaking doesn't make me money it doesn't help me save a bit on registration fees and that has been a nice treat. This book really opened to my eyes to a whole new branch of professional development that can be rewarding. While I do think the authors are overly optimistic about the potential to become rich, much of the advice is quite good show more and, like me, you may find a small means by which you can offset travel costs through speaking engagements. At the very least, this book will let you see possibilities you may not have considered before. show less
