A Wrinkle in Time by Kris Katzen
While this book is built around the common (and often annoying) plot of ‘normal teen goes on an special adventure,’ L’Engle creates a SciFi/Fantasy world that more than makes up for it. It was fascinating as a young reader – and a fun, bite-sized afternoon read as an adult.
