Okay, so, I mostly picked this up because I grew up in the 80s/90s and loooooooooooooove _The Sandlot_. There was no way I *wasn't* going to pick up a book by Ham Porter--I mean, Patrick Renna!
The book is entirely delightful--both the writing and illustrations. Perfect for baseball fans and the kids in their lives, whether you've seen _The Sandlot_ or not (though of course, props and Easter eggs if you have). It made me smile so very much, and also got me primed to re-watch _The Sandlot_ show more (and maybe _Field of Dreams_ too).
There is one mention of karma (as in "kindness and karma both come around")--just FYI. show less
