Short text and playful art make this a great one for those with short attention spans to learn about animal adaptation.
Steve Jenkins isn't the only game in town anymore! I learned from this; for example, have you ever heard of the Tripod Fish? The map in the back tells me that this cool critter lives in the Indian Ocean. I'm going to google for more details, because there are no notes or bibliographical resources listed.

This can be played for predictive skills development if one has another picture book or sheet of cardboard for the educator to lay over the right side of each spread (or maybe the first show more time, the little one can line up the cardboard, and mom can be the one to see which ones she recognizes...). show less
