Things I Learned: Small space living is popular.
Comments: I liked this book the best so far out of the interior design books I've read so far. I like the clean, light and airy sensibility of the interiors represented, I like a lot of the concepts and ideas and the presentation made the book an enjoyable feast for the eyes. There's a feature called "JoJo's Notebook" which presents an interior with JoAnne Liebeler's insights on what makes it work. These are ideas you could translate to your show more own living space, and they show you some suggestions in the appendices.
It has a helpful listing of resources, online and in stores, to help you with your storage and design needs. Very helpful and enjoyable book.
One drawback I found with some of the designs presented was cutouts or minimal walls, entrances and exits, or the use of translucent glass in private areas of the home like the bathroom and bedroom. I prize my privacy and I like to be able to shut the door and know I am invisible to prying eyes. If you're not hung up on privacy, these space solutions could work for you, but they're not for me. show less
