I really enjoyed this book for many different reasons. The main purpose of this book is to bring some information to the reader in a funny way. This is represented throughout the book in many ways. The books main focus is the trials and tribulations that a horse person or horse owner has to go through. For example, in one part of the book the author talks about how a rider will muck out stalls all day in exchange for an hour lesson but then be way to tired to take that lesson anyway. Another show more example came from the perspective of the parent, and all the things they have to go through in order to put their daughter into a horse show. The illustrations in this book are important and hilarious. The illustrations seem to really drive the authors point home. For example, the author talks about how the instructors are mean, and the picture that goes along with this page accurately shows how this is possible. show less
