About the Author
Artist and children's author Richard Kidd was born in Newcastle upon Tyne, England in 1952. He received a degree in fine art from Newcastle University in 1974. His abstract landscape paintings have been exhibited in numerous galleries including the Museum of Modern Art in San Francisco, Rio de show more Janeiro, and Zurich, the Liverpool Museum, and the Rowan and Serpentine galleries in London. He also wrote numerous children's books including Almost Famous Daisy, Monsieur Thermidor: A Fantastic Fishy Tale, The Giant Goldfish Robbery, and The Tiger Bone Thief. He drowned at Bataan's Dunsulan Falls on July 19, 2008 at the age of 56. (Bowker Author Biography) show less
