Orb by Gary Tarulli
I liken Tarulli to Jules Verne. What I love about both is that they bring to life the fiction in science fiction. There is an amazing depth to their philosophical look at the limitations and definitions of human thought. In short, I LOVE "thinkers" sci-fi.
Tarulli has obviously given a great deal of thought to the metaphysical ideas we take for granted and has managed to present them in a very pleasing and easy to absorb way.
His writing style is smooth, his characters wonderfully loveable / show more hateable, his paradigms profound, his science unobtrusive and his ability to leave his reader contentedly hanging on every cliff and waiting expectantly for the next was exceptional.
There are only two reasons I am glad I am done with this book. The first is that I might get to bed at a decent time now that I am not obsessively poring over it and the second is that now that I am done I can read it again. show less
