There are a number of great Stage Management books out there, more well written ones than for any of the other backstage how-to areas, perhaps because stage management is about organization. Also many of these are written by those who have had distinguished pro careers. In other arenas the writing is often by Profs seeking tenure! Besides being a great book there is one thing that recommends this work well beyond the seminal text by Stern, and that is the price. The Kelly book does not price show more gouge so I'd say support it, especially if you are a university teacher. show less
