Hilarious mockumentary. A freelance writer lands a contract to write a book about a pop star, but is unable to get an interview with her or even score a concert ticket. So she writes a book about herself desperately scrounging for material: visiting the reference library, driving past the star's old school, phoning the sister of someone convicted of stalking the star who later killed himself. The resulting mish-mash tells us little or nothing about Sarah McLachlan, but far more than we want show more to know about the hapless chronicler. Meticulous MLA-style bibliography is a wonderful satiric touch. show less
