Charles Kenneth Scott Moncrieff (1889-1930)
In 1908 "Evensong and Morwe Song", a short story with a gay theme, was published in the literary magazine "New Field". The magazine was hastily suppressed by the authorities at Winchester College as a result of this story being in it. In 1923 the story was republished by Uranian [gay] publisher John Murray in an edition limited to 50 copies for private circulation
only, with none being for sale. This copy is one of those 50 copies.
Note: Possibly one show more of the first books published by the publisher of Cayme Press, but this needs to be confirmed. show less
