Felix Shay

A biography written by a great admirer and fellow worker of Elbert Hubbard, this book is certainly full of praise and glory. The author doesn't hesitate to list the not-so-fine aspects of Hubbard's character though. I found this a very interesting book. I had never heard of Hubbard or the Roycrofters, which makes the story a bit sad, because apparently he was very prominent in the early 1900s. I found many profound thoughts and bits of wisdom within this book. I love Hubbard's philosophy of show more education and the way life should be lived. The humor doesn't really carry over to our times, but the stories of life around the great man are amusing. show less
