2355 Vicky: Princess Royal of England and German Empress, by Daphne Bennett (read 30 Jan 1991) This is a biased account of Queen Victoria's eldest child, who was born 21 Dec 1840 and died at the end of July 1901. She had a difficult life, her husband dying after 99 days as Emperor of Germany, and her son, Wilhelm II, being totally obnoxious to her. But this book is so simplistic and non-student-like that I should not have read it. I figured it had been a long time since I read about Queen show more Victoria so it would be a welcome relief from worry about the war. But I can't say my time was well spent. show less
