This book is one of a trilogy (the others are My Garden in Spring and My Garden in Autumn and Winter)that first appeared in 1914. I am a casual gardener at best--Mr. Bowles' painstaking details and extensive Latin descriptions bespeak a familiarity with literally hundreds of plants that I simply don't have. A more dedicated gardener might find it useful, but not very entertaining.
