I remember this being the first time I came across the cover artist [author:Rovina Cai|20045319]. That cover alone put the story on my TBR pile.

Wow. That went down so smoothly. It was beautiful.
"Tom heads for the woodpile at the back of the house, closer to the forest, where the verge holds sway." Upon his return his mother says “... if you are my Tom, then who’s that boy in your bedroom?”
We come to learn who is in his bedroom and why he is called Thom. The mother show more asks her Tom “Would you mind so much, having a brother, just for a little bit?”
The story follows the fae lore. We don't get a definitive ending, but we get a beautiful short story.
