An interesting premise incompletely realized. Two friends work at a tourist trap in Florida; one wants to let the flamingos loose to fly back to Florida because they are getting sick and losing their color. Two sisters are also dealing with their own issues; one of them is dating one of the men, but has sex with the other. The story covers a lot of story lines, but doesn't develop them completely enough for the reader to care deeply. The dialogue is stilted and overwritten; the plot is thin. show more Though I would love to find out how a director would stage this with a number of life flamingos, a macaw, and other tropical birds on stage.
