Glenyse Ward

This book is about the author’s life. She is an Australian Aborigine. She was sent to "work" for the Bigelow family. The Bigelow family is not friendly at all. The book shows how Glenyse makes a friend and eventually runs away. I would use this book with 4-8 grades. I would ue this with a theme of Australia. This book will help the students understand what the life of an idigenous Austrailian was like after the settlers were there.
