Kohl gives a detailed account of not only her personal experience with infertility and assisted reproductive technology, but also provides a look into the industry, culture, and science of this often misunderstood world.

The only small criticism of this book is that the jumps from the author's personal narrative to the information about infertility in general are a bit choppy at times.

As someone who has struggled with infertility and who has read more than my share of books on the subject, show more reading Embryo Culture is like getting two books for the price of one: one memoir and one encyclopedic-type book. show less
Beth Kohl is great. She has shared her experience with fertility and conception in such a personal, funny, and touching way. She covers this complex issue and its many facets by using facts and humor and dialogue to open up the issues and get you to understand different points of view. Really well written, I will certainly look forward to her next offering!
Kind of interesting, but not that engaging. If I wasn't going through a period of extreme baby craziness I doubt I would have read through to the end.
