NCLA Review: Based upon the classic book IN HIS STEPS by Charles Sheldon, four individuals vow to walk in “the steps of Jesus.” This follows a tragedy in the life of the minister and poor choices made by the others. As the town suffers from financial ruin, a ruthless politician falsely promises to bring them prosperity if they will elect him as mayor. As the townspeople see what a difference is being made by the minister and the other individuals, they look at every decision in their show more life and ask “What Would Jesus Do,” and then to the best of their ability do it. Having seen the original black and white video made in 1964, I was very pleased with this updated version. As a bonus, there is a downloadable version of the book IN HIS STEPS by Charles Sheldon, viewable with a PDF reader. In researching some of the film’s stars (Maxine Bahns), their lifestyles may not be acceptable role models for the viewer. Rating: 4 —ARG show less
