I so wanted to really enjoy this book but for some reason that I can't quite put my finger on I just never got into it and it took me ages to read.
The author clearly did amazing research and is extremely knowledgeable about his chosen topic. I couldn't spot any typos or plot holes or anything like that (which I've been finding quite a bit recently in Kindle books). The story line was rather complicated and I'm afraid it may have been over my head.
If you want a beach read - this isn't the show more book for you. However, if you want a well done history with a bit of fiction thrown in this could be for you. Just unfortunately not for me. show less

This is a fictional account of how copies of the Mona Lisa may have come into being during Leonardo da Vinci's lifetime. The author has done considerable research on the subject and has created a convincing and enjoyable tale.
