At the time of purchasing this modest 'silver brick' back in 1994, I would have probably said that the cost of the 'boxed set' hardly offered very good value for money at £7.99; when one considers that the books individually would have been marked at £1.99 each - a saving of 3 new pence in total. The flimsy cardboard slipcase hardly made it worth while either unless you just so happened to be looking at buying all four books in the first place? At the time I seem to remember that one of show more the books was proving difficult to find and the boxed set was proffered me as a way of obtaining the volume I was particularly after.
I only ever read two books out of this rather expensive set - that is not the fault of the books themselves rather the non-value way in which they were packaged together.
