First of all,I thought it was difficult to read because it was written by New Zealand English.But I thought it was good chance to learn New Zealand culture.After I finished reading "The Silk" ,I thought they loved each other show more so much although he couldn't express his feeling well.This story was sorrowful,but there were warmth,I think. show less

Sometimes,I was confused to read this book because there are many people there.But I was thrilled to read this book. The book has a surprising end.

I think this is sad story. Honestly speaking, I don't like the police so much. Surely, I know the man who try to be a good policeman. But part of the policemen don't treat people fairly. I watched a scene that the policemen and the gangsters who get training at nursing home are fighting each other. The gangsters tried to protect old people from violent riot police. I think this scene looks like the scene the Ned and the police fighting each other.
I think the police should treat people more show more fairly. show less
