The darker side of Bless Me Father this book was published a year later. Frock Off is certainly not funny. It's the biography of a RC priest who breaks his celibacy vows as though he'd never taken them, and steals from his congregation so he can play cards and go racing. To be fair everybody in O'Connor's circle of priests is doing the same thing. To his credit O'Connor does not hide behind anonymity and he names names with careless abandon, including institutions he was involved with. But show more this is a rather shocking read for anybody who believes the RC Church is beyond corruption. show less
