Project Learning Tree

The core of Project Learning Tree’s environmental education is teaching students how to think. The activity guide has 96 lessons broken down to lesson objectives, appropriate grade levels, subject and concepts. The activities fall into the following categories: diversity, interrelationships, systems, structure & scale or patterns of change. The Project Learning Tree activity is a great teacher resource guide. It has almost 100 lesson plan activities that teacher can use for their students to learn about trees. The lessons are divided up in 5 different sections to help you to find the lessons you want. They are also color-coated by each section. The five sections are diversity, interrelationships, systems, structure and scale, and patterns of change. Each lesson lists the objectives of the lesson and on the left-hand side, it show more lists the levels, concepts, subjects, and skills the lesson presents and also says what materials will be needed and the time it might take to teach the lesson. The lesson is well descriptive and easy for the teacher to use when teaching. It has reading connections the teachers can use to relate reading into the lesson. At the end of the lesson, there are the activity pages the teacher will copy off for the students to use during the lesson. show less

This is an environmental lesson plan activity book. Wonderful and detailed information that has the grade level, any modifications that can be changed, and standards attached so it is helpful for teachers.

I love that PLT is a science and inquiry friendly curriculum for the language arts teacher.
