This book describes the years from 1929 Worsley spent as a schoolmaster at a public school he refers to only as "College," but which is revealed in the introduction by his publisher to have been Wellington College in Berkshire. Flannelled Fool also alludes to his own academic background at Cambridge University and Marlborough College. Finally, in an epilogue, he told three stories about himself not long after he left Wellington, the first of which is the most poignant of all his stories from show more a Greek love point of view. show less
Worsley describes his fascination with a series of beautiful boys, but never abuses any of them.
