This book was really good, but it is not for everyone as it is downright gritty, psychological, twisted, and so gore infested that some people will be having night terrors the rest of their lives!
So definitely HEED THE WARNING that if you can't take anything that has to do with, rape, torture, and cannibalism then do not read it. This book is not a romp through fairyland, it is a romp through the most worst serial killer's mind you could ever imagine. When reading this book think of Jeffrey show more Dahmer possessing the body of a 15 year old girl and then you will know what this book is about.
The book revolves around Hillary Grayson, a 15 year old girl, that wakes up in a room tied to bed with no clothes on and nothing covering her body. She is not able to move her body and she is not able to remember anything about herself. She is being taken care of by two doctors and one woman.
Doctor #1: Dr. Morrison is a neurosurgeon and he administers shots, takes her vitals, and supposedly keeps an eye on her (but he is not all what he seems and he has some twisted plans that are unethical in store for Hillary).
Doctor #2: Dr. Bentley is a psychiatrist and he sits with her taking notes, trying to elicit responses from her of nightmares/dreams she has been having since she has been in their care (but yet again he seems to genuinely be concerned for her well being and yet he lets Dr. Morrison keep her tied up, so his intentions are not true either).
Woman: Dr. Morrison's wife - she takes care of Hillary by bathing her and looking out for her general welfare (but all that changes when the crap hits the fan halfway through the book).
To understand the intriguing depth and plot of this book, you would have to understand the girl Hillary as she is not really what she seems either. She is not the sweet innocent teenager next door as she is something far much worse and the main reason she is tied up is to keep her twisted mind and body from going into hellish overdrive.
This book will take you so deep into the depths of hell that you will wonder if you can ever recover from the psychological, demented, twisted, gory bloodfest that is within these pages. I read this book in about 5 hours and I am giving it five stars for one hellbent, crazy, and twisted ride.
(This is now directed toward Angel - someone said in one of your reviews that you are the Queen of Gore - after reading this book I would say that title should be official!) :)
Update: I have decided that Angel's nickname the "Queen of Gore" be changed to the "Queen of Extreme". That has a better ring to it too! :) show less

Freaking Terror Ride!
A small backstory:
The second book in the series picks up where the first one left off and it took me on a thrill ride into terror. Heather kind of goes on a crazy binge when she doesn't get the phone she was wanting for Christmas and things start happening around the house to the point that her father ends up dying.
Then Heather starts seeing ghostly appearances and hears her father's voice. She thinks she is going crazy and her mother doesn't believe her as she is still show more trying to cope with the death of her husband.
What really happened to Heather's father? Is she really seeing his ghost or is it something else? Not going to give away spoilers, so you will just have to read the book to get the answers to these questions.
Twists and turns alight within this book which really takes everything into a spiraling world of madness!
Read this within a few hours and giving it five stars for keeping me glued to my kindle. show less

Shopping Nightmare!
A backstory:
Jilly Carson wants to do some last minute Christmas shopping but doesn't want to do it by herself, so she waits around for her friend, Peyton. Jilly gets a distressing phone call from Peyton saying she will not be coming as she has to babysit her sister. Jilly gets perturbed as she really didn't want to wander around the mall alone but there is nothing she can do so she heads off to buy what she needs and then go home.
If anything would have been that easy as show more Jilly gets a catcall from a blond stranger and he begins to stalk her around the mall. Jilly does everything she can to avoid him but wherever she seems to go he appears, so she reluctantly lets him follow her out to her car and he climbs inside, but what happens after that becomes a twisted mess and the blond stranger is going to wish he had never met Jilly!
Thoughts:
This is a quick 20 page romp but it is filled with tension, suspense, trepidation, and twisted horror! This book was a reread for me as I read it back December of 2017, but I just wanted something with holiday horror but in quick snap and this is it! There is actually a lot of "snap" after the stranger climbs in Jilly's car - you know - "snap, crackle, and pop" variety? You might need your gore suit for this one as there is some twisted stuff near the very end of the book. Giving this one four Holiday Horror stars! show less

Wow! A very nice wrap up to this trilogy!
The last book in the trilogy does a very good job of not only wrapping up loose ends, but bringing Hillary's revenge crusade to a shocking end!
A small backstory:
Everyone thinks Hillary is dead when in fact she is very much alive and she has it in her mind that she is going to take revenge on everyone that had anything to do with her being tortured from the past, but what she doesn't know is she ends up meeting an old woman (Miss Billie) that feels show more sorry for her and wants to show her the good side of life through acts of kindness.
Hillary doesn't know quite what to make of this woman, but she decides that she will use Miss Billie as an advantage and might kill her off in the end once she serves no purpose, but things do not always go as planned and in this case Hillary sort of becomes attached to Miss Billie as she still tries to pursue her revenge goals.
Thoughts:
The whole story was completely different than the other two books as there was more of a "softer" tone within the story when the character, Miss Billie was introduced into the storyline. I didn't see much of the crazy stuff I have seen in the other two books and though the story was toned down more, it still kept my interest.
There are other characters that were involved in the storyline that contribute to Hillary wanting to go on her revenge streak, but no spoilers here as you will just have to read the book to find out more about them and what plans they have to see Hillary dead.
The last half of the book took off like a rocket, but what really was a shocker was near the end of the book as author, Angel Gelique threw a major twist into the storyline which sent this book ratcheting up into high gear as I was flying through the story wanting to see what would happen next!
The "major twist" was so unexpected that I was flipping through the pages at lightning speed to see what road the author was taking me down! I truly was not ready for the "twisted reveal" and after having read this unexpected revelation it made perfect sense of why the first two books were loaded with the violence from this young girl! Giving this book five "twisted" stars! show less
