Andrew Jones was for a while considered the youngest person to ever sit in the Australian parliament (some sleuthing came up with a younger member back in the younger days of Australian democracy) and he was, you could say, an odd one.
Jones was very conservative and wasn't at all expected to win the safe Labor seat of Adelaide at the 1966 Australian election but in a surprise to everyone except himself, Jones got up and entertained locals with his oddness, including releasing the record show more "Shadow Valley and Iron Triangles", described by Jones as "anti-Communist", and by detractors as "awful" with at least one Adelaide radio announcer refused to play the song.
?He was turfed out at the 1969 election and has sadly kept quiet since then.
As you could imagine, "Andrew Jones M.H.R. by himself" gives his own versions of events and is amusing in places. show less
