- Short biography
- Bee Willey is a UK-based artist and illustrator. Born in London, she has both English and French heritage, and was raised in France. She traveled extensively as a child, and was inspired by a Marc Chagall exhibit in Paris to become an illustrator. As a young woman she moved back to the UK, where she studied and began working on commissions for various magazines. Her first book commission was Geraldine MacCaughrean's four-book World Myths series. Willey illustrated Joan Aiken's final picture-book, The Wooden Dragon, and was shortlisted for the Kate Greenaway Award for her work on Bob Robber and Dancing Jane by Andrew Matthews. She currently lives in Suffolk, and teaches at Norwich University of the Arts.
