This is a very brief and approachable biography about Jeff Gordon, the NASCAR driver. It keeps things simple and to the point, while also highlighting some of the industry impacts Gordon had - as well as the impact changes in the industry impacted Gordon's career. It packs a lot of good info into a small number of pages, making it one of the more effective and informative sports biographies I've read.
Part of the Olympic Stars series from ABDO books that showcases the stars that shone the brightest in the most recent Olympic Games whether on the track, in the pool or in the gym.

In this entry, Matt Scheff provides a brief look at the life of Simone Manual, providing information about her early childhood and the events that led to her historic performance in the 2016 Summer Olympics, as she became the first African-American woman to win gold in an Olympic swimming event. Given the show more significance of her accomplishment and the decided lack of biographies about her – this is the only one – libraries will forgive the brevity of information and the photo-heavy text, in order to have something on their shelves. This would be suitable for biography reports, casual interest and more importantly, to provide diversity in the biography shelves. Recommended: An important addition to the sports biography shelves and where the Olympics are in demand. show less
Young sports enthusiasts will enjoy this simple biography of Andrew Luck, a part of the series "Football's Greatest Stars." It is filled with bright photography and short entries about Luck's life and football career. I recommend this to both school & public libraries.
The perfect book for a young sport fan reader. This book is full of real pictures of the top NFL quarterbacks and their football information.
