NIV, Kingdom Girls Bible, Full Color, Leathersoft, Purple, Comfort Print: Meet the Women in God's Story by Jean E. Syswerda
The “NIV Kingdom Girls Bible” is eye-catching, with it’s purple, decorative, textured cover, white stitching, and easy-to-read title. The protective, glossy cardboard slipcover is also attractive, featuring illustrations of various women of biblical times.
With a targeted reading age of 8-12, this Bible appeals to young girls who want to learn about and be inspired by famous women in the Bible. A unique feature is the inclusion of colorful illustrations throughout, giving readers an show more idea of women’s roles, how they dressed, etc. I love the character sketches, giving peeks into the lives of these women, who they were, what they stood for, and if they are good (or not good) role models to emulate. Readers are also introduced to many of the women of the Bible that aren’t as well known.
The back of the Bible holds a very important feature— “A Letter to Myself,” offering the reader to fill-in-the-blanks of a pre-written letter and signing a commitment to who she wants to be, what she wants to do, and who she wants to follow. How special!
Some of the other features of this Old and New Testament text Bible are a presentation page for gift-giving, an attached satin ribbon bookmark, action plans, and more. And the Leathersoft cover and 9pt Comfort Print typeface are comfortable to the hands and appealing to the eyes.

Even though I am sixteen, I still use this edition of the Holy Bible as my primary reference in the word of God. The NIRV is a translation aimed at very young children (6-10 years), and for someone (ME) who has trouble understanding God's word itself (but not theology), it proves invaluable for me and my Bible study. The cute little biographies of various Bible figures such as Galioth or Saint Paul make this Bible my preferred Scripture translation. I've owned it for over seven years. The show more goofy images are guarenteed to delight the younger population of Christians.
I reccomend the NIRV translation to early readers of God's word, and to anyone who are just entering Christianity, as it's the easiest complete translation of Scripture available on the market. show less
