This book is so simple but it conveys so much. The words are spare but the illustrations are rich and the combination lulls you into enjoying the rhythm of an everyday morning in China. Lovely book for small children.

A beautifully illustrated way to learn about leisure activities in China. We actually did a homeschool project on this and I wish I’d had this charming book then.

As people go about their morning in China each page becomes a panel on a final big page that shows all the groups and what they are doing during one morning in China. Simple, sweet pictures that are sure to appeal.

This book is incredibly simple but beautiful. Gorgeous and mellow paintings illustrate this lovely simple tale of a morning in the park. The illustrations focuse on depicting actions and movements. I think it is a good book to introduce Chinese culture. Moreover, the last page holds a wonderful surprise, which unfolds to reveal the whole picture.
