"Three candles: that illumine every darkness: truth, nature, knowledge."
This is a small sample of what you will find in "The Big Little Book of Irish Wit & Wisdom." I checked out this book because I love all things Irish. The book was ok. Some of what was printed was simply to hard to decipher. In attempting to stay true to the ancient Irish wordings, the editors failed to see that their readers would not understand the sayings.
The book was ok. I got some enjoyment. Probably would not show more recomend this book to anyone but the most die hard of Irish history fans. show less

This little book is rather lengthy - it has 368 pages, so it really is a big little book. A variety of sayings, laws, blessings, prayers, riddles, and more are contained in its pages. There are some interesting tidbits of information, and some useful ideas for your next toast as well. And you don’t have to be Irish to enjoy reading collection!
A nice, short book for anyone interested in things Irish. No great work, but fun to have around the house.

To be used at all times for prayers, toasts, and anecdotes.
