About the Author

Chris Duff has traveled more than 15,000 miles by sea kayak since 1983. In 1996 he became the first person to solo the entire British Isles, and in 2000 he became the second person to complete a solo circumnavigation of New Zealand's South Island. He has contributed to Sea Kayaker magazine

On Celtic Tides by Chris Duff

This is a beautifully written book but assumes the reader knows an awful lot about sea kayaking which often left me scrambling to look things up or frustrated that I didn't understand. Most of what I enjoyed about this book was the way the people of Ireland welcomed Mr Duff along the way.
