Pragmatic Version Control: Using Subversion (The Pragmatic Starter Kit Series)(2nd Edition) by Mike Mason
So, yeah... I know. This is a open source book available online at http://svnbook.red-bean.com . I pretty much use the online version all the time. It is much more convenient. I did, however, find this book useful while setting up my first couple of repositories. I find it easier to grok the complexities and subtleties of proper versioning when I read from a book. I got no regrets. Oh, yeah, it is great whether you use the online version or the book.
