Constance Head

The only biography on this ruler I've read, or found a review of. An unpleasant man, but a good example of the will to power. His times are sufficiently removed from my life to be Romantic. Looking on publication date, I must have read it only three months after it rolled off the presses. The Turtletaub (Turtledove) novelization is a good but not Great read. Competent academic prose.
