This was a pleasant surprise. A book covering a 20 plus year old England tour of Zimbabwe and England didn't have me overly enthused but it seems that England performing poorly entertains me more than I thought.
Zimbabwe looks almost inviting and our heroes even score an interview with Robert Mugabe before moving onto New Zealand where they finally win a Test. The tour is told through three different perspectives; then England coach David Lloyd, broadcaster Jonathan Agnew and BBC tech bloke show more Peter Baxter. An interesting approach which is saved by Jonathan Agnew's contributions.
A good book for those who want to remember England's bad times and Zimbabwe's good times. show less
